Rápido, furioso, agressivo e bem equilibrado em termos de peso e técnica, é uma boa forma de descrever o trabalho de estreia dos Argentino/Romenos Funeral Baptism, “The Venom Of God”. Com uma sonoridade que vai buscar inspiração ao black mais old school, apresentam um trabalho numa vertente mais black n’ roll com alguns apontamentos técnicos, nomeadamente ao nível dos solos de guitarra, que conferem intensidade e melodia às composições e ajudam a criar a aura negra que as reveste. Toda esta atmosfera sombria chega-nos encapsulada entre uma inquietante e assustadora “Aleph” e o black ambiente de “My Last Whisper” numa toada mais melancólica. “The Venom Of God” apresenta-se como um trabalho versátil, com um correcto equilíbrio entre as origens e o contemporâneo, resultando em faixas com boa técnica e musicalmente apelativas. Um boa estreia para este coletivo e mais um excelente lançamento para a Loud Rage Music.

Fast, furious, aggressive and well balanced in terms of weight and technique, this is a good way to describe Argentinian/Romanian band Funeral Baptism debut work, “The Venom Of God”. With a sonority that gets inspiration from old school black metal, they present a work in a more black n’ roll slope with some technical aspects, mainly regarding guitar solos, which add intensity and melody to the compositions and help to create the dark aura that coats them. All these gloomy atmosphere comes to us encapsulated between a disturbing and frightening “Aleph” and the black ambiance of “My Last Whisper” in a more melancholic pace. “The Venom Of God” presents itself as a versatile work with a correct balance between the origins and the modern, thus resulting in tracks with good technique and musically appealing. A good debut to this collective and another great release for Loud Rage Music.
