Decorreu hoje a conferência de imprensa do Laurus Nobilis Music Fest, dando assim o arranque oficial para mais uma edição deste festival.
À semelhança dos anos anteriores a apresentação geral do evento e demais informações ficou a cargo de Pedro Moniz (toda a informação pode ser consultada aqui). Na edição deste ano a aposta da organização foca-se mais em sonoridades alternativas dentro do espectro rock e metal, pois tem sido este público-alvo a marcar maior presença desde a 1ª edição do evento. Outra novidade desta edição é a inclusão de um terceiro palco (“Faz A Tua Cena”) onde projectos emergentes das mais variadas áreas culturais poderão mostrar o seu valor. Conforme frisou Aguiar Silva, cerca de 70% da oferta que se pode encontrar lá é de acesso gratuito, desde o palco já referido e o Palco “Estrella Galicia”, as áreas de lazer, restauração e campismo, sendo só o recinto reservado ao Palco “Porminho” (principal) o único que é pago, tornando-se assim o Laurus Nobilis um ponto de encontro cultural diversificado e a baixo custo para quem lá se desloca. A produção musical e gestão de bandas este ano fica a cargo de André Matos (Raising Legends), enquanto que António Freitas (Antena 3) vai continuar encarregue da animação after hours acumulando também o cargo de Embaixador do evento. Presente esteve também o Vereador Leonel Rocha em representação da Câmara de VN Famalicão, sendo possível através da suas palavras perceber o apoio que a Autarquia continua a dar ao evento bem como uma maior aposta do Município noutras atividades culturais. A terminar a conferência de imprensa, e após uma sessão de perguntas, tempo para se ouvirem algumas Tralhas Melódicas; se não sabem o que são, apareçam no Laurus para descobrirem tudo. Só faltas tu!

Today took place Laurus Nobilis Music Fest press conference, thus giving the official start to another edition of this festival.
Like on the previous years the general presentation and further informations was in charge of Pedro Moniz (you can check all the info here). On this year edition the organization focuses more in alternatives sonorities within the spectre of rock and metal because this target audience has been the one with greater representation since first edition. Other news is the addition of a third stage (“Do Your Own Scene”) were emerging projects from various cultural areas can reveal themselves. As Aguiar Silva stated, nearly 70% of the offers we can find there are of free access, like the above mentioned stage and “Estrella Galicia” Stage, recreation areas, catering and camping, being only the “Porminho” Stage (main) the only one with entrance fee and thus making Laurus Nobilis a culturally diverse and low cost gathering point for those going there. The musical production and band management this year will be in charge of André Matos (Raising Legends) while António Freitas (Antena 3) will keep being in charge of after hours entertainment also combining the place of event’s Ambassador. Attending was also Town Councilor Leonel Rocha representing VN Famalicão town house, being able through his words to perceive that the council will continue to support the event as well as betting more on other cultural activities.
