Attick Demons @ Porto

Os Attick Demons regressaram ao Porto para um périplo que os ia levar a alguns dos pontos mais emblemáticos do underground da Invicta; na bagagem, traziam a sua nova cerveja artesanal.

A primeira paragem foi na Bunker Store onde foi possível ter contacto com a banda, conviver, trocar ideias ou simplesmente pedir autógrafos. Estes encontros são muito apreciados pelos fãs e começam já a ser uma referência num ponto de referência do underground. Dali a romaria seguiu em direcção ao Restaurante Endovélico. Para quem ainda não conhece o local, este posiciona-se como uma referência única no País para os amantes da boa gastronomia Celta e cervejas artesanais, bem como um ponto de encontro para amantes de música e costumes Celtas e do Metal em geral. Foi então aqui oficialmente apresentada a cerveja e dada a provar aos presentes no evento. Disponível em 2 sabores, a “Ghost” é uma cerveja maltada leve e frutada, mais indicada para pratos ligeiros; a “Dark Angel” é uma cerveja com um sabor a café e cereais torrados e que deixa um prolongado sabor no palato. Depois de um excelente jantar a comitiva rumou para o Metalpoint para o tão aguardado concerto. Os H.O.S.T. foram a banda convidada para fazer a primeira parte; com um alinhamento já conhecido pelo público que inclui os temas do seu EP e uma cover dos Iced Earth, apresentaram ainda 3 temas novos com um deles a ser dedicado aos Attick Demons, “I Am Your Host For The Evening”. Após um pequeno intervalo foi a vez dos Attick Demons apresentarem um set com claro destaque para “Let’s Raise Hell” (de onde só não tocaram “Ritual”) intercalado com temas de “Atlantis” (e ainda tiveram tempo para “Left To Breathe” retirada do EP homónimo de 2000).

Este regresso dos Attick Demons ao Porto ficou marcado pelo convívio, pela amizade e sobretudo pela afabilidade com que foram recebidos e com que responderam. Com um novo trabalho para breve será certamente um destino a ser incluído na sua tournée promocional. Resta-me agradecer à Rosa pelo convite que nos fez e pelas condições oferecidas; à Bunker (Manuel), Restaurante Endovélico (Maria José e Jaime) e Metalpoint (Hugo) pela amizade e a todos os que participaram e fizeram deste dia um dia memorável.

Attick Demons returned to Oporto to a trip that would take them to some of the most emblematic spots of Invicta’s underground; in the luggage brought their newest craft beer.

First stop was at Bunker Store where it was possible to get in touch with the band, hang out with them, exchange ideas or simply ask for autographs. These meetings are highly appreciated by the fans and are becoming a reference in a landmark of the underground. From there the pilgrimage headed towards Restaurante Endovélico. For those of you who still don’t know the place, it position itself as an unique reference in the Country for the fond of good Celtic food and craft beers, as well as a meeting point for lovers of Celtic music and folklore and Metal in general. So here it was officially presented the beer and given to taste to the ones attending the event. Available in 2 flavors, “Ghost” is a light and fruited malted beer more appropriated to light food; “Dark Angel” is a beer that tastes like coffee and roasted cereals that leaves an extended taste in the palate. After an excellent dinner the delegation headed to Metalpoint for the most awaited gig. H.O.S.T. was the band invited to play first; with an alignment already knew by the audience that included the songs from the EP and a cover for Iced Earth, they played 3 new songs in which one of them, “I Am Your Host For The Evening”, was dedicated to Attick Demons. After a short break it was time for Attick Demons to present a set with obvious focus on the latest “Let’s Raise Hell” (from which they just didn’t play “Ritual”) interleaved with songs from “Atlantis” (and they still had time for “Left To Breathe”, taken from 2000’s homonymous EP).

The Attick Demons return to Oporto was marked for conviviality, friendship and above all the affability that they were welcomed and correspond accordingly. With a new work to be released soon it will certainly be a destination to be included in its promotional tour. I just wish to thank Rosa for the invitation made to us and facilities given; to Bunker Store (Manuel), Restaurante Endovélico (Maria José e Jaime) and Metalpoint (Hugo) for the friendship and all who participated and made this a memorable day.
