No passado dia 4 de Março a Sala2 do Hard Club esgotou para uma noite memorável de Rock/Blues. Em palco estiveram os Noruegueses Pristine e os Suecos Blues Pills. Portugal foi o ponto de viragem neste digressão Europeia; a partir daqui serão os Austríacos White Miles a assegurar a primeira parte dos restantes concertos.
A banda dita de suporte costuma ser a que tem menos historial musical mas aqui não foi o caso. Com 3 álbuns de originais no catálogo, os Pristine vieram claramente promover o último trabalho “Reboot”, de onde retiraram a maiorias das músicas do seu set. De referir que eram claramente desconhecidos do público em geral mas rapidamente se fizeram as devidas apresentações, muito por força da grande presença de palco e qualidade musical. Heidi tem uma voz perfeita para o Rock Psicadélico que tocam; além dela destaca-se a guitarra com os seus solos electrizantes e demolidores. Uma coisa é certa; se os Pristine eram pouco conhecidos por cá de certeza que levam na bagagem de regresso muitos novos fãs, eu incluído.
Os Suecos Blues Pills encontram-se em digressão ainda com o seu álbum de estreia. Essa situação tende a mudar porque Elin confirmou já estar pronto um novo trabalho a sair proximamente, tendo mesmo tocado o tema acústico “Yet To Find” que vai estar presente nesse novo trabalho como tema bónus. Em relação ao concerto a banda não defraudou, mesmo com alguns pormenores técnico esporádicos como o som demasiado alto do baixo ou o abafar da bateria a não beliscarem em nada na qualidade dos músicos. Elin parecia um pugilista antes de entrar para o ringue, sempre a saltitar/dançar durante todo o concerto (admitiu mesmo estar com algum frio que a obrigou a usar roupa térmica) e sempre com um sorriso nos lábios. Pontos altos da noite: versões estendidas de “High Class Women” e “Ain’t No Change” e o final do concerto com “Devil Man”.
O calor dos Blues e do Rock Psicadélico trazido pelas gentes do norte aqueceu e de que maneira uma fria e chuvosa noite de Inverno. Obrigado aos Pristine e aos Blues Pills pela alegria e bom vibe que trouxeram, obrigado ao Hard Club pela hospitalidade e à Prime Artists pela oportunidade. Até breve.

Last 4th March Hard Club’s Sala2 sold out to a memorable Rock/Blues night. On stage were Norwegian Pristine and Swedish Blues Pills. Portugal was the turning point in this European tour; from now on it will be Austrians White Miles to ensure the first part of the remaining concerts.
The so called support band use to be one with less musical history but this wasn’t the case. With 3 original albums in their catalogue Pristine came clearly to promote their last work “Reboot”, from where they used most of tracks in the setlist. To mention they were clearly unheard-of from the majority of the audience but soon enough the band introduced themselves, mainly because of a great stage presence and musical quality. Heidi’s voice is perfect for the Psychedelic Rock they practice; besides her to emphasize the guitar with crushing and electrifying solos. One thing’s for sure, if Pristine were less known around here they definitely return home with a lot more fans, me included.
Swedish Blues Pills are still touring with their debut. This is about to change because Elin confirmed that a new album is ready and should be out shortly, having even played the acoustic “Yet To Find” which will be a bonus track on that album. Regarding the concert the band didn’t defraud even with some minor technicalities like the bass playing too loud or the drums being muffled that didn’t pinched the quality of the musicians. Elin looked like a boxer before entering the ring always dancing/jumping the entire concert (she even admitted having some cold which made her use some thermal clouds underneath) and she was always smiling. Highlights of the night: extended versions of “High Class Women” and “Ain’t No Change” and the end of the concert with “Devil Man”.
The warmth of the Blues and Psychedelic Rock brought by northern folks surely heated a cold and rainy Winter night. Big thanks to Pristine and Blues Pills for the joy and good vibe they brought, thank you to Hard Club for the hospitality and Prime Artists for the opportunity. See you soon.
