De Cascais chega-nos um coletivo com uma sonoridade que reflete um misto de sentimentos, uma espécie de alter ego dos seus músicos, como se a banda fosse um lugar seguro onde manifestam o seu dia-a-dia. Bateria forte e guitarras que ora soam sujas e cheias de raiva, ora limpas e tristes, são a marca que os Revenge Of The Fallen imprimem nas suas 4 composições que formam o EP de estreia “Pareidolia”. A voz de Cláudio Santos acaba por ter um papel importante nessa forma de ser, flutuando entre passagens limpas, roucas e ligeiramente guturais; neste capítulo lembra um pouco Corey Taylor, como que aqui soando ao somatório de Slipknot com Stone Sour. O single de avanço “Vicious Pride” diverge um pouco dos outros 3 temas com um groove e uma agressividade próprios. A experiência dos seus elementos noutra bandas faz com que tudo pareça mais fácil, trazendo diversas influências que se mesclam neste EP, mostrando o rumo a seguir e perspectivando um futuro risonho.

From Cascais comes a collective whose sonority reflects a mixture of feelings, some sort of alter ego of its musicians, like if the band was kind of a safe place where they can manifest their daily routine. Strong drums and guitars that sound dirty and filled with anger, afterwards clean and sad, are distinctive marks that Revenge Of The Fallen imprint in their 4 songs that compose debut EP “Pareidolia”. Cláudio Santos’ voice ends up having an important role in this way to be, floating between clean, harsh and slightly guttural passages; in this chapter it reminds me a little bit of Corey Taylor, sounding here like a sum of Slipknot and Stone Sour. The debut single “Vicious Pride” slightly drift apart from the other 3 tracks with an aggressiveness and groove of its own. The band members experience on other bands makes it all look so simple, bringing diverse influences that mix together in this EP, showing the way to follow and foreseeing a bright future.
