Laurus Nobilis Music 2019

O cartaz da próxima edição do Laurus Nobilis Music Famalicão está [quase] concluído com os anúncios desta semana; em falta fica apenas o nome do último headliner a ser anunciado dia 15 de Janeiro. Assim sendo vamos então recapitular os nomes que vão levar a V. N. Famalicão uma cada vez maior legião de fãs.

Portugal - é bom vermos que por cá o underground está bom e recomenda-se, seja com o surgimento de novos nomes (Sollar) ou com a certeza de outros que já são bastante conhecidos lá fora (Analepsy). A grande aposta deste festival continua a ser na matéria-prima nacional que para o ano contará não só com bandas com algum currículo no meio mas também com nomes que fazem a história do underground nacional: Simbiose, Peste & Sida, Sinistro, Miss Lava, Gwydion, W.A.K.O., HochiminH, Primal Attack, Tales For The Unspoken, Humanart, Wrath Sins, Grimlet, Lyfordeath, Second Lash e Toxikull.

Alemanha - com uma carreira de 3 décadas os death/gothic Crematory vão estrear-se em Portugal. Apesar de terem editado este ano “Oblivion”, espera-se que este seja um concerto “de carreira”. Também com uma extensa carreira vêm os thrahers Contradiction celebrar com os fãs nacionais.

Suécia - a última vez que os Soilwork visitaram Portugal foi em 2014 no Vagos; regressam agora para apresentarem “Verklighte”, álbum agendado para sair em Janeiro próximo. De regresso a Portugal estão também os Entombed A.D. que já são uma presença habitual por cá, sendo esta a sua estreia em Famalicão. Curiosamente a única vez que os Hypocrisy tocaram em Portugal foi exatamente em Famalicão, há 25 anos atrás; este era um regresso a Portugal há muito aguardado pelos fãs.

Itália - mantendo este ano uma forte aposta no death metal nas suas mais variadas vertentes, um dos nomes que não poderia faltar eram os Fleshgod Apocalypse; na bagagem trarão o seu novo álbum a ser editado em 2019.

Espanha - a organização faz questão de todos os anos ter sempre um representante da vizinha Espanha. Depois de nesta edição os Crisix terem dado um concerto memorável, para o ano a honra caberá aos Soldier.

Até lá irão ser anunciados alguns eventos de warm-up, sendo que o primeiro é já nos dias 14 e 15 de Dezembro no Hard Club. Next year’s poster for Laurus Nobilis Music Famalicão is [almost] concluded with this week announcements; is only missing the last headliner that will be announced on January 15th. With this said let’s recap all the names that will make a growing legion of fans head V. N. Famalicão.

Portugal - It’s good to see that our underground is doing well, weather with the emergence of newer names (Sollar) or with the certainty of others that are well known abroad (Analepsy). The biggest bet of this festival is still national feed stock that for next year will count with not only bands with some resume in the scene but also with bands that are part of Portuguese underground history: Simbiose, Peste & Sida, Sinistro, Miss Lava, Gwydion, W.A.K.O., HochiminH, Primal Attack, Tales For The Unspoken, Humanart, Wrath Sins, Grimlet, Lyfordeath, Second Lash and Toxikull.

Germany - with a career of 3 decades death/gothic Crematory will debut in Portugal. Although having released the album “Oblivion” earlier this year, it is expected a “career” gig. Also with an extensive career come thrashers Contradiction to celebrate with national fans.

Sweden - last time Soilwork visited our country was in 2014 at Vagos; they return now to present “Verklighte”, an album scheduled to be released next January. Returning to Portugal are also Entombed A.D. who are by now usual presence here, with this being their debut in Famalicão. Curiously the only time Hypocrisy played in Portugal 25 years ago was in Famalicão; this was a most expected return to Portugal by the fans.

Italy - keeping this year’s major bet on death metal in several of its subgenres, one of the names that could not miss were Fleshgod Apocalypse; with them will bring their newest album to be released in 2019.

Spain - the organization ensures that every year at least one band represents Spain. After this year’s edition were Crisix gave a memorable gig, next year the honor will be given to Soldier.

Until then will be announced more warm-up events being the first next 14th and 15th of December at Hard Club.
